Design Thinking Workshop

The workshopis a creative approach to problem solving using innovative approach. This course is designed to help students to understand how Design Thinking, as a strategic process helps in innovation and growth. The course is aimed to bring out the three dimensions of Human Centred Design Thinking:

  • Inspiration
  • Ideation
  • Prototyping, among students.

  • Introduction to Design Thinking, Overview of Design Thinking, Evolution and the History of Design Thinking, Significance of Human Centred Design Thinking, Three dimensions of Innovation,

  • Five Phases of Design Thinking

  • Applications of Design Thinking Stage – 1 : Empathize Stage – 2 : Define Stage – 3 : Ideation Stage – 4 : Prototyping Stage – 5 : Testing Stage

  • Case Study - Detailed case study to understand how Design Thinking is used in the industry

  • Design Thinking Mini Projects - Problem Analysis Research and Student Presentations Understanding, Analysing, Brainstorming Evaluating Activity.

University Career Hub [UCH] organised an orientation program for UnderGraduate students of various colleges in Mysuruand conducted the workshop in three batches.

Students of all the batches came up very innovative ideas, and implemented the same and utilised theskills in their forthcoming projects

Event Design Thinking – Batch1
Date 1st December to 6th December, 2021, [ 6 Days ]
Description Classes for students of Batch1 were held in the month of December, 2021. This was conducted for the Under Graduate students of colleges namely GSS SimhaSubbamahalakshmi First Grade College, MIT First Grade College, Hindustan College, Teresina College with a total of 40 students. The classes were scheduled from 1.30 pm. to 5.30 pm. on all the days. The sessions were very interactive.

Event Design Thinking – Batch2
Date 28th October to 30th October, 2021[ 3 Days ]
Description Classes for students of Batch2 were held in the month of October, 2021. This was conducted for the Under Graduate students of MIT First Grade College, with a total of 40 students. The classes were scheduled from 2.00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. on all the days. The sessions were very interactive.

Event Design Thinking – Batch3
Date 1st December to 9th December, 2021, [ 6 Days ]
Description Classes for students of Batch1 were held in the month of December, 2021. This was conducted for the Under Graduate students of colleges in Mysuru, namely MIT First Grade College, Seshadripuram Degree College, BIMS, Maharaja College, St. Philomena’s College, with a total of 48 students. The classes were scheduled from 3.30 pm. to 5.30 pm. on all the days. The sessions were very interactive.
